Q: We are bombarded with protein powders, glutamine, and a host of supplements. How dangerous are these and how much of them should be consumed for the average person?

A: I believe that your nutrients should come primarily from food. That being said, there are some supplements I do recommend: 1. omega-3 fish oils; 2. green drinks (like greens+™); and 3. whey protein isolates. These are all safe to consume. Avoid artificial sweeteners, stimulants, and supplements that make ridiculous claims.
